We’re looking for an experienced, people-focused Career Coach / Strategist to work with Pick a Path clients, primarily at mid-career through to executive level.You may already work in career development, but you don’t necessarily need a traditional career-coaching background. Your experience could come from recruitment, leadership, management, learning and development, HR, consulting or another people-focused field.What you’ll doWork one-to-one with clients navigating career change, important career decisions, job searching and workplace challenges.Lead practical, focused sessions that help clients make decisions and take meaningful next steps.Confidently manage the direction, timing and boundaries of each session.Bring a current understanding of the employment market, recruitment practices and the changing world of work.Maintain brief, appropriate client notes within Pick a Path’s systems.Depending on your interests and experience, there may also be opportunities to contribute to workshops, new ideas, professional relationships and business development.

We’d ideally like to find someone in Dunedin who can offer both in-person and online sessions, but we’re also open to hearing from the right person elsewhere in New Zealand.

We’re looking for an experienced writer to create high-quality, tailored CVs for Pick a Path clients across a wide range of industries, career stages and levels of seniority.You might already be a professional CV writer, or your background could be in recruitment, communications, HR, writing or another field where you’ve developed a strong understanding of how to position people and communicate their experience.What you’ll doCreate tailored, ATS-friendly CVs that clearly communicate each client’s experience, strengths and value.Turn complex or lengthy career histories into concise, compelling documents.Adapt your writing for different industries, career stages and target roles.Work within Pick a Path templates and processes while applying your own professional judgement.Deliver accurate, polished work within agreed timeframes and respond to client revisions where required.Stay interested in recruitment trends, the employment market and how AI is changing CV writing and hiring.
What we’re looking forExceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills, with excellent attention to detail.An ability to quickly understand someone’s career story and identify what matters most.Strong judgement around positioning, structure, tone and what to leave out.An understanding of contemporary recruitment practices and ATS-friendly CV writing.Independent, organised and reliable, with the ability to manage deadlines without a lot of oversight.Comfortable using technology and AI thoughtfully, while ensuring the final work is genuinely tailored and human.Someone who cares about the quality of the finished product and the experience Pick a Path clients receive.
The practical stuffThis is a flexible, remote contractor opportunity, with work varying according to client demand. You’ll work within Pick a Path’s established approach and templates, while bringing your own writing expertise and judgement to each client.
